Welcome to École Pauline Haarer
We strive to work together and with our school community. Our mission is to ensure a safe, supportive, inspiring and respectful environment which promotes the development of individual potential and enthusiasm for life-long learning.
École Pauline Haarer is located in downtown Nanaimo, BC, Canada. We have a community of 250 French immersion students, their families, 20 staff members and a very, large supportive group of volunteers (both parents and community members). L’école Pauline Haarer est fière d’avoir été la première école d’immersion à Nanaimo en ouvrant ses portes en septembre 1977. Notre école reçoit son nom d’une enseignante dévouée qui a enseigné à Nanaimo de 1890 à 1936. En 1935, Mme Pauline Haarer a reçu la médaille King George pour ses services à l’apprentissage!
